St Leonards Place - York

St Leonard’s Place is one of the most grand and elegant streets in the historic City of York.

The iconic crescent was conceived in the 1830s to provide the quality of housing at that time only really seen in London – a concept designed by John Harper to produce a symmetrical crescent frontage behind which nine individual town houses could be individually built.

With neighbours including the Theatre Royal, The King’s Manor and Museum Gardens, along with the York Library and the magnificent York Art Gallery, St Leonard’s Place is right at the heart of York’s cultural hub.

This major restoration project was completed in 2017, bringing a collection of buildings last used as offices back into residential use. Five palatial townhouses have been re-created, alongside 29 apartments, together with a newly established mews ‘city street’ providing a further six unique properties.

A unique array of Artwork from our collection was thoughtfully assembled in the communal areas, intended to enhance and inform the period environment. Highly regarded artists such as Mark Hearld, Eric Malthouse, Matt Lamb, Anthony Tàpies, Sol LeWitt and Anthony Gormley gracefully adorn the walls.

Bootham Green - York

Bootham Green is an impressive development of 39 uniquely designed eco-homes just a short walk from York City Centre. Offering a range of houses from 2 to 5 bedrooms with private off street parking these well appointed homes have developed into a thriving community for our new residents.

The project itself was focused around the sensitive restoration of a former Victorian school. Its conversion means that the town houses created combine both traditional architectural features with contemporary fixtures inside. In addition to this, new homes have also been built which are architect-designed throughout and add a modern feel that complements the character of the historic school buildings.

The development was completed in 2014 and all of the properties were sold prior to completion. The development was the winner of the prestigious RICS Pro Yorkshire Award for the Residential category in May 2015.

Greenhill Fold - Leeds

Greenhill Fold in Upper Wortley was developed from the former Grade II listed Upper Wortley school and transformed into 13, two and three bedroom loft style houses that maximise all the building’s original character, and a further 36, two, three and four bedroom, contemporary new homes constructed within the school’s grounds.

These high quality homes just 10 minutes from Leeds city centre offer dedicated off street parking and modern amenities set within landscaped grounds within easy reach of a number of well regarded local schools.

53 Great George Street - Leeds

Set in the heart of Leeds Conservation Area, our team carefully worked on creating a series of exclusive apartments on Great George Street, each unique in style and character due to the rich heritage of the area.

Set opposite the original Grade I listed General Infirmary building and the Grade II listed St. George’s Church, 53 Great George Street is representative of a charming neighbourhood. Interesting architectural features such as high ceilings, tall floor to ceiling windows, duplex layouts, made this project a pleasure to work on.

Number 53 Great George Street consists of an assortment of apartments. Some with a double height vaulted living room ceiling. Work was completed in late 2018 and all of the apartments were quickly sold on completion of the works.

The Cotton Mill - Skipton

A Grade II Listed Victorian mill building forming part of the Belle Vue Mills complex located alongside the Leeds Liverpool canal, and between Skipton railway station and the town centre.

Formerly an integral part of the regions cotton manufacturing industry producing the famous Sylko Cotton Thread this imposing building was carefully converted into 39 unique 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and penthouses with far reaching views over the surrounding area. Key aspects from the famous Dewhurst Silk Thread heritage and the beauty of the surrounding area has been woven carefully into the residential scheme. Interiors have been carefully animated by award winning illustrator Tom Duxbury, born and bred in the Yorkshire Dales, who assists in bringing this building into a new chapter whilst retaining the special heritage of the textile industry.

Completed – 2018
