Bootham Green

Bootham Green, a former Grade II listed Victoria school on Shipton Street in York was sensitively restored and converted to create a collection of 39 new homes.

The aim with this project was to respect the character of the traditional architecture whilst creating contemporary efficient eco-designed homes thus respecting the nature of the heritage whilst enabling the spaces to be enjoyed with new modern lifestyles. There was a distinct recognition that these buildings had a role to play in the wider area and therefore a supportive financial donation was gifted to the local community and council to be invested in a number of local projects with the aim of further aiding and strengthening an already established, integral community.
